Greg, a veterinarian at the clinic, receives commendations for his clear communication and the aftercare provided, as emphasized in reviews by TheFamilyBaker. The clinic's ability to handle complex surgeries with good outcomes is a point of satisfaction for pet owners.
Conversely, some clients, like Daniela, have expressed concerns regarding the clinic's expertise with exotic pets such as hamsters and have noted inconsistencies in medication pricing. Daniela's experience underscores the need for more specialized care for non-traditional pets and highlights the issue of variable medication costs, which the clinic attributes to daily price changes.
Overall, Vets4Pets Stratford is highly regarded for its compassionate care and effective communication, though potential clients with exotic pets or specific pricing concerns may wish to explore these aspects further before visiting.

I am raw with the loss of my beloved Angus today. All those who cared for him deserve heartfelt praise for their compassion, upfront no nonsense approach and transparency with everything. I would particularly like to mention Greg & Sophie; the kind hearted vets, the vet nurse and the lovely lady on reception (I'm so sorry I forgot your name) (long day) who gave me a most welcome hug. Angus and his mum and dad are thankful for you guys

I recently had to put my cat to sleep which was extremely sad. Vets4pets handled the whole situation very sensitively with genuine care and compassion. I really cannot thank the staff enough for making this difficult time a little easier for me. And all the special touches (like giving me samples of my cats hair in bottles, 4 paw prints to keep and a card in the post a few days later), are wonderful reminders of my treasured cat.

Not a great vet for exotics, like hamsters. Took my hamster Poppy here as she was suddenly bleeding a lot from her rectum. They gave her subcutaneous fluids and Baytril for 10 days. 2 days later took her for the follow up appointment and she was doing better, I was very relieved and felt like she received good treatment, which she did. 2 weeks later she started gaining a lot of weight and her body was bloated. Took her to the vet and he said he could feel a mass on the left side and diagnosed her with pyometra. Said we could do a scan to confirm but that would be worthless as nothing would be done with that information, probably assuming that it's just a hamster so he wouldn't bother to treat her. Suggested to do nothing and only prescribed Baytril after I said a previous hamster of mine was on Baytril when she was diagnosed with pyometra. I had this gut feeling that the diagnosis wasn't right as my past hamster clearly had 2 lumps on either side of her hips and Poppy was bloated all around. Took her to Chipping Norton where they did an ultrasound scan risk free, so no anesthesia, she was conscious (this vet, and others, always said that wasn't possible) and found out she has an enlarged liver. Her mass on the right side. The vet at Chipping Norton corrected my hamster's dosage of Baytril and thoroughly explained all treatment options, the risks associated with them and end of life care. One important thing to mention about Vets4Pets is that their med pricing is extremely inconsistent. I asked them about metacam to manage pain, when/if poppy is in pain, and I paid almost £50 for it alone! Unthinkable. The receptionist was very apologetic and her reason for the price hike was that prices change every day. I searched online on the day and metacam goes for £11 to £25 in vet shops (prescription only obviously) so I don't know what's up with their prices but that's not right. All in all, giving 3 stars as they did treat my hamster's first problem right but their knowledge is more limited than at Avonvale Cubbington, which despite being a non exotics vet, they're more capable with hamsters. The unreliable pricing is the worst part for me.

We would like to thank Vets For Pets, particularly our vet Greg, for the care and attention they gave to our dog Murphy recently. Murphy had to have a large operation. Greg explained the options clearly to us so we understood the implications. Murphy has recovered well and the aftercare from Greg and the team has been excellent. Thank you Vets For Pets 👏

Has a look around this new layout new store, Like the look of the new lay out full of various brand names for all pets small or large. The shopping bags you use instead of baskets on the left as you walk in for small shop is ok, you can still use the large shopping trolleys situated just outside if your shop is going to be larger. They also have pet grooming pet vets and a operating theatre inside. The new till layout is more open and could get a bit tight with a few trolleys there. However it looks good clean and 3 hours free parking worth a visit.
